A large and enthusiastic crowd of more than 225 people gathered in the Maritime Room beside the Halifax Forum on Friday February 1, 2013 to remember Coach Bob Boucher. The event was a fundraiser for the Bob Boucher Hockey Assistance Fund, which was founded in 2011 to support the game of hockey through the memory of Bob Boucher.

The evening featured two main draw prizes, one an original Hal Jones painting of a Dalhousie and SMU game and the other an elaborately framed an autographed picture and jersey of Bobby Orr. A silent auction was held as well. The winners of these two prizes were Ken Jarvis and .
All proceeds from the event are used to continue the good work of the BBHAF in promoting hockey in Nova Scotia at all levels.
The evening also provided an opportunity for old team mates, friends and rivals to meet once again.
Supporters of the event included many former university players but also a large number of the Bob Boucher coached Dartmouth Moosehead Mounties.
The event was scheduled to run from 5-7:00 pm prior to the SMU vs. Dalhousie hockey game but many conversations simply continued on from the Maritime Room to the Forum.
The organizing committee would like to thank those supporters who generously donated money, auction items, and services as well as all those that attended the event. Without this commitment the BBHAF would not exist.
The organizing committee is also beginning to work on the next event and we ask everyone to come back for news of the event as well as the work being done by the BBHAF.
